Professional Experience:
Mary Gail entered the information security world in 1981 as a software developer, database administrator and network administrator for a DoE facility. By the time she left in 1997, she was overseeing all network, application and system security for classified and unclassified computing.
After this experience securing the nation’s most sensitive assets, Mary Gail joined a Big Four accounting and consulting firm as southeast area leader for security architecture. She also served as security director for an Atlanta-based technology company before launching a security consulting practice in 2001.

Mary Gail currently holds the CISSP certification.
Education:
Mary Gail graduated summa cum laude from East Tennessee State University (ETSU) with a Bachelor of Science in computer science, focusing on information systems. She later earned her Master of Science from ETSU with a focus on software engineering. She currently serves on the ETSU Computer Science Advisory Board.
